Dr Qin specialises in cataract surgery, refractive surgery (laser treatment for short-sightedness, long-sightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia), intraocular lens surgery and eyelid surgery.

He is the director of the Centre Médical du Val and the Clinique Ophtara. A polyglot, he speaks fluent French, English, Dutch, Spanish and Chinese. He is also an ophthalmologist at CHIREC Delta and the CHU UCL Namur
