What is trichology?

Trichology is the medical discipline dedicated to:

Scalp conditions (itching, flaking, or any other scalp complaints)
Types of hair loss: androgenetic alopecia, effluvium, postpartum alopecia, alopecia areata, traction alopecia, scarring alopecia, etc.

Route

Graduated from UCL with a degree in Medicine in 2014
Training in trichology (Paris, 2024–2025)
Further training in hair transplants (not currently practised)
Continuing professional development in nutritional therapy

Tests carried out

Examination using a trichoscope (routine)
Full blood count and specific blood tests (routine)
Biopsy if necessary
Trichogram (microscopic analysis of the hair bulb if necessary)

Medications

Consultations are also available to people who simply wish to check that their hair is in good
condition, even if they have no specific concerns.
